Here at Streetz Ahead Dance Academy we believe it is vital to keep current and up-to-date. All our teachers continue to train and take professional classes, furthering their own careers in the industry. This constantly brings new stimulus and energy to our students as styles are always evolving and it is important to be on top of the latest trends and moves.
The Academy teaches a fusion of all Street genres and regularly invites professional dancers proficient in a particular style of dance to be a guest teacher. Pupils are thus inspired and encouraged to learn everything possible about their chosen style, ensuring they get the most out of their training.

Katrice has been singing since the age of five and has known all along, that her ambition was to perform on the West End stage.
After spending her childhood years attending various stage schools she decided to enroll in Bird College Of Performing Arts, Kent. She is about to start her third and final year of a Musical Theatre National Diploma.
Whilst being in the EFX Girl-band for eight years Katrice gained first hand experience in the Music Industry. With successes locally and nationally at competition level, in 2008 the girls were contestants in the television series the X Factor, when EFX got through to the Boot Camp stage.
Further opportunities developed as backing and support singers for artists such as Duncan from Blue, Leon Jackson, Hope, Atomic Kitten and in performing for Robin Gibbs of the Bee Gees.
Find Ur Feet has so much talent, and I am excited to see all the improvements in confidence and singing just in the short time I have been with the school. I cannot wait to see them all in the finished show.
I love being part of this school, collaborating to teach the foundations of becoming a performer and encouraging the pupils’ dreams and ambitions.”

Pupils have been recently learning commercial tracks and are even looking forward to Nicola bringing in her own recording equipment!
A Professional dancer whose love of popping was ignited when he saw some B-Boying while on holiday seven years ago. From that point he taught himself to dance and hasn’t stopped since: dancing at work, home and traveling the world through dance - even representing England in the Hip Hop Dancing European Finals in Holland.
Most would know Crazy Popper from his achievements in the Sky 1’s Got To Dance programme where he competed and performed for three consecutive years. Firstly in 2011 competing as Liquid Metallic in the semi-finals, then in 2012, being a finalist as a member of Methods Of Movement, and this year as part of the Super Crew performing at the live semi-finals.
We at Streetz Ahead have loved over the last few years having Crazy Popper be part of our team - inspiring battles in the classes and even being our Popping Father Christmas while we danced in the Cavalcade of Lights.
Being bullied for being an overweight child who loved African dancing, Turbo is now a professional street dancer, musician and entertainer.
Issac Baptiste, aka Turbo, felt drawn to the dance floor since childhood, encouraged by his African dancer Mum and Reggae drummer Dad. He gave up dancing from being bullied whilst at school until he was 14, but after watching the film Breakdance he was inspired to try different dance styles including street and hip-hop. Dance has been part of his life ever since; believing "Music gives me questions, I give it answers."
He came second in the grand final of TV dance show Bump 'n' Grind in 2003/4. He has numerous hip hop titles to his name - Stylefest 2010 Champion, House Dance Champion, and numerous Throwdown Champion titles. He has appeared in music videos for Madonna, Jamelia, Will Smith, Mis-teeq, Shaznay Lewis and has also been a backing dancer for Whitney Houston.
Turbo showed his popping skills to the nation, with his unique moves and earning a place in the Finals of Sky 1’s Got To Dance 2011.
